For several years I wanted to write a song about this great night, the Carrieton rodeo.
Since going from a day-time event to a night rodeo it has continued to grow. A credit to the locals who work tirelessly to organise and run this event.
Now helped by the wider community it also has great financial benefits to the Flying Doctor, Orroroo Area School and many local projects.
A good friend, Sam Gibb (pictured at right), helped me write this song.
I hope you get some idea of this night by listening to the song. If not, you must go!
